Egyptian Media, Arab Football Federation and leading sports marketing companies sign a cooperation protocol to organize the Arab football championship in Egypt

Prince Turki Ben Khaled, President of the Arab Football Federation and businessman Ahmed Abou Hashima, CEO & Chairman of Egyptian Media Group, and Mohamed Kamel, President of Presentation Sports Company, signed the exclusive broadcasting and sponsorship contracts of the Arab Football Championship on ON Sport and Abu Dhabi Sports Channels.
Businessman Ahmed Abou Hashima, Chairman of Egyptian Media Group, emphasized that the Egyptian and Arab viewers deserve to be given the highest sports media broadcasting services that cover all the regional and international events promising the viewers many surprises in the upcoming period.
Mr. Ahmed Abou Hashima added during the press conference of announcement of the championship of the Arab Champions League that is scheduled to be held in Egypt next summer, that Egyptian Media Group since its launching has strived to partner with the leading professional companies in the field of sports, adding that he is honored to partner with Presentation Sports Company, Abu Dhabi channel, the Arab Union and Sela company.
Mr. Ahmed Abou Hashima pointed out that the unity of Arab companies in the field of sports is necessary because no one can get the rights to broadcast important events and cheer the masses individually without a strong union and he expressed his happiness of the return of the Arab Champions League again. Emphasizing his confidence that all the participants in the tournament will enjoy the atmosphere in Egypt’s cities.
From his side, Prince Turki Bin Khaled, President of the Arab Football Federation, stated that the Arab Federation always seeks to fulfill the ambitions of the Arab youth and that agreeing on broadcasting the Arab Clubs Championship matches stems from the championship’s importance. He added that one of the most important goals of the Arab Union is to reflect the perfect image of the Arab youth worldwide. He also added that the broadcasting of the Arab championships will be done with highest technology on ON Sport and Abu Dhabi Sports channels.
He added during the press conference that Egypt will be the platform return of the Arab Championships after the Arab Federation was able to face the difficulties of the return of the tournament.
The president of the Arab Football Federation said that the Champions League for clubs is one of the most important Arab Union events which includes a championship for the Arab teams, volleyball, handball and women's football revealing that 500 million viewers are waiting for this tournament. He said "I hope that I could meet the expectations of this responsibility and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this achievement and participated in this Arab dream”.
As for the participating countries, he stated that there are 10 participating clubs, including Al Ahly and Zamalek from Egypt, Al Hilal and Al Nasr from Saudi Arabia, Al-Tariji from Tunisia, the Moroccan Fath Robaty, Iraqi Naft, Al Faisali from Jordan and Al Ain from the UAE and an Algerian team, Lebanese Ahed and the Omani team.
Prince Turki Bin Khalid, President of the Arab Football Federation said that there are agreements to be signed with FIFA to coordinate with the Discipline and Values Committee to be responsible for the tournament supervision regarding the tournaments’ penalties.
He added “There will be no exceptions in the new tournament, and only the league champion, the cup champion, the league finalist or the cup finalist will participate," adding that withdrawals will not be acceptable at all.”
In the same context, Mohamed Kamel, President of Presentation Sports the sponsoring company confirmed that the marketing companies have begun to feel the lack of marketing of Arab football which has motivated them to do more efforts in the Arab Championship, because it needs to have bigger coverage, with the follow-up and encouragement of clubs from all countries, which will create a new generation of fans for Arab football.
During the press conference, Mr. Mohamed Kamel added that the presence of Egyptian fans will be allowed during the Arab Championships. He additionally promised the football fans that they will watch a strong Arab championship.
