    Marking the beginning of his major success in the business world, Egyptian Steel Group was Abou Hashima's first foundation that he started in 2010 with an investment over a billion dollars. The group established four eco-friendly steel plants across Egypt in Beni Suef, Alexandria, Al Ain Al Sokhna & Port Said, and strategically located to cover the entire country.

    The plants produce 2.3 million tons of steel rebars per year, with components that comply with international standards and specifications and are of high quality. Egyptian Steel Group uses the fastest speed technology, enabling it to produce steel within two hours only, and reduces dust emissions by 30-40% compared to other plants.

    The group is committed to sustainable development, saving energy at rates between 25% to 30% and treating wastewater for reuse in irrigation and bio-diesel production. The Beni Suef and Ain Al Sokhna plants also include power stations with a capacity of 100 megabytes per station. With a market share of 20-25% in the steel manufacturing industry, the group has become a stronghold in the Arab world and the Middle East.

    Being the visionary that he is, Ahmed Abou Hashima founded Egyptian Cement as a sister company to Egyptian Steel Group in 2017, with the aim of becoming the primary source of building resources and materials in Egypt.

The investment in the company exceeded 6 billion EGP, with an annual capacity of 2 million tons, positioning it as a leading player in the manufacturing industry.
