At the invitation of Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Senator Ahmed Abou Hashima,Head of the Youth and Sports Committee in the Egyptian Senate, Founder and Chairman of MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries, participated in the ENACT Majlis in Abu Dhabi. The ENACT Majlis in Abu Dhabi is convening global leaders across the energy, technology and industry sectors to accelerate the solutions needed to realize AI’s full potential.
During the event, Abou Hashima met with several global leaders in technology, energy, and industry, including Brad Smith, Vice Chairman and President of Microsoft.
This event follows the release the publication of ‘Powering Possible: AI and Energy for a Sustainable Future’, authored by ADNOC, Masdar and Microsoft which explores seven action areas to seize the opportunity of the energy-AI nexus.
More than 200 leaders and experts in technology, energy, and finance contributed their insights to the “Unlocking Potential” report, a unique document that highlights AI’s potential to drive transformation in the energy sector while addressing AI’s increasing demand for energy.
Previously, Senator Ahmed Abou Hashima authored a study titled “Youth and Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges,” which was approved by the Egyptian Senate and submitted to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. In this study, he praised the remarkable advancements in AI in the UAE, followed by the UAE signing significant partnerships with leading global companies in this field.
