MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries and The Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport signed a joint cooperation protocol to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into the industrial sector.

Cooperation Protocol between the Arab Academy and MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries

A cooperation protocol was signed by His Excellency Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, and Mr. Ahmed Abou Hashima, Chairman of MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries.

The cooperation protocol aims to establish a framework for collaboration between MAFI and the Academy in the following areas:

• Technical support and consultancy

• Recruitment of the technology and AI team

• Design of prototype robots

• Advanced training in artificial intelligence

• Establishment of the first Center of Excellence for Supply Chain Management and Industries using AI

• Launch of the first “NextGen AI Arabia” competition for young Arab innovators in AI solutions

His Excellency Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, expressed his pride in collaborating with MAFI, highlighting the significant role of universities in keeping pace with technological transformations and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as well as responding to the challenges facing the Arab world.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ahmed Abou Hashima, Chairman of MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries, stated, “We are pleased to collaborate with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, which has established itself as a beacon of knowledge and development,” emphasizing that education is the most powerful driver for progress and success in today’s economy.
